Unique to Interplay Jazz Camp is the integration of yoga, tai chi, and meditation with world-class instruction in the art of improvised music (primarily jazz) in a supportive learning environment. Skills and concepts learned through the study of yoga and meditation encourage students to relax, concentrate, and access more of their creative potential in practice and performance.

"A terrific week of learning and sharing"

The Endicott College campus on Cape Ann, Massachusetts provides beautiful natural setting just steps away from the Atlantic Ocean. Musicians from disciplines other than jazz are also fully supported by the Interplay faculty in learning to develop their creativity.

Smokin' on the water!

Interplay Jazz Camp’s mission and vision is to provide a supportive environment for students of all ages to listen (and hear), to learn (and experience), and to create (and express themselves).

Interplay is an experience that changes lives!

This isn't Chopsticks!

Students range in age from twelve to over seventy and intergenerational musical interaction is fostered throughout the week with the initial goal of playing music together in a more deeply engaged way. The longer-range vision is supporting and encouraging deeper communication on all levels between human beings of all ages, races, and belief systems.

"I still am inspired and renewed by this truly joyous experience"

Students and faculty alike experience the Oneness of mind (where the melodies, chords, scales, rhythms, compositions, etc. are stored), body (the physical conduit for the expression of music, and connection the to the instrument) and spirit (the source of creativity). When this sense of Oneness is established in the creative musical realm, it quite naturally begins to encompass the whole being. We have seen life changing results in students and faculty alike as this positive and holistic approach to living is adopted as a way of life.
